'97 Silverado Transmission slipping??
I'm a newbie around here, so go easy
I have a 1997 Z71 Silverado and just started having a transmission issue. When I first start it up, let it warm up a few minutes and put it in reverse I can feel the truck engage into gear and start to proceed in reverse but it isn't smooth, kinda like its just slipping if that makes sense.
Also when I put it into drive sometimes, it feels like it goes straight to 2nd gear instead of 1st.
After driving for a lil bit it seems to go away and shifts through the gears like normal. Just wondering if anyone has an idea or suggestion on what may be the problem. Hopefully not a tranny rebuild is needed. It's been a while since I have done a transmission fluid and filter change but I don't put a lot of miles driving it.
Thanks
